Perfect viewing conditions of the eclipse can not be guaranteed as July being monsoon season and during monsoon chances of visibilities are very very remote in this area.  The updated weather conditions be apprised to you closer to the date.


Day 01, Delhi
Arrive late evening

Delhi: Capital of modern India. Many dynasties and rulers have flourished on its regal soil over the last 3000 years. The legacy still survives in many monuments varying from the 13th century mausoleum of the Lodi Kings to the buildings of British India's imperial past like the Parliament House and the Presidential Estate.


Day 02, Delhi
Morning enjoy the sightseeing tour of Old Delhi visiting Rajghat (Gandhi Memorial), Jamma Masjid (Mosque) & Red Fort (from outside). Sightseeing tour of New Delhi visitng Qutab Minar (Tower of Victory), Humayun Tomb, India Gate & the Governement buildings


Day 03, Fly to Bagdogra and drive to Darjeeling
Fly to Bagdogra, upon arrival drive to Darjeeling (2 hrs)

Darjeeling: conjures visions of serenity, of vibrant green hills steeped in splendour, a land of breathtaking beauty crowned by the majestic Himalayas. Darjeeling is one of the most magnificent hill resorts in the world. This heavenly retreat is bathed in hues of every shade. The flaming red rhododendrons, the sparkling white magnolias, the miles of undulating hillsides covered with emerald green tea bushes, the exotic forests of silver fir - all under the blanket of a brilliant azure sky dappled with specks of clouds, compellingly confounds Darjeeling as the QUEEN OF HILL STATIONS. Upon arrival check in at hotel


Day 04, Total Solar Eclipse in Darjeeling
Early morning proceed to Tiger Hill to witness the total solar eclipse, the timings are as under:

0526 hrs Partial Eclipse Begins
0625 hrs Maximum Eclipse
0627 hrs Eclipse Ends
0727 hrs Partial Eclipse Ends


Post the event, visit Ghoom Monastery and drive back to hotel. Later in the morning you will visit Tibetan Refugee Centre, Himalayan Mountaineering Institute, Zoological Park & Tea Garden and walk in the bazaar


Day 05, Drive to Gangtok
Drive to Gangtok.


Gangtok: Gangtok rose to prominence as a popular Buddhist pilgrimage site after the construction of the Enchey Monastery in 1840. In the early 20th century, Gangtok became a major stopover on the trade route between Lhasa in Tibet and cities such as Kolkata in British India. After the independence in 1947, Sikkim chose to remain an independent monarchy, with Gangtok as its capital. In 1975, after the integration with the union of India, Gangtok was made India's twenty-second state capital.
Arrive Gangtok and check in at hotel.


Day 06, Gangtok
Morning visit famous Rumtek Monastery, Research Institute of Tibetology, the Buddhist Institute is a treasure trove of vast collection of rare Lepcha, Tibetan and Sanskrit manuscripts, statues and rare. Continue to visit Do-Drul Chorten, built by Truslshi Rimpoche, head of the Nyingma order of Tibetan Buddhism, in 1945, and Orchid Sanctuary, famous for its rare and extensive collection of orchids. At the end of the day visit Enchey Monastery.


Day 07, Drive to Bagdogra and fly to Kolkata
